Red Leap Theatre is Aotearoa's leading physical theatre company. We create original, devised productions, dedicated to innovating theatrical form through the intersection of dynamic physicality, arresting imagery, and inventive original storytelling.

We wholeheartedly believe in the strength of collaboration to celebrate the power of the imagination. We create transformative live theatre experiences that spark conversation and illuminate connections.

Our multi-award winning productions include Dakota of the White Flats, Owls Do Cry, Kororāreka, Dust Pilgrim, Paper Sky and The Arrival

Red Leap has a thriving education and development programme, inspiring young and emerging artists to appreciate devised theatre as a mode of creative expression, storytelling, and changemaking. We ignite this potential amongst the future generation, activating the creative agency for devising artists to emerge and flourish. Red Leap ensures young people are given an understanding of their options to form their career.

Red Leap was founded in 2009 by co-Artistic Directors Julie Nolan and Kate Parker. The company is currently under the joint leadership of Artistic Director Ella Becroft and General Manager Grant Mouldey.
